Vishwesh Bhat,
a Software professional has thorough understanding of the intricacies of both forms of Indian classical music,
Carnatic and Hindustani.
Apart from being a musician, he is also an actor, dramatist, composer, recording
artist and a cartoonist. He's acclaimed of publishing over 1000 cartoons in the newspapers of India, "Deccan
Herald", "Times of India" and several kannada magazines. He is also disciple of the noted Hindustani vocalist,
Pt. Parameshwar Hegde in Bangalore.
Ashwini Bhat, an Electrical engineer by profession is a gifted Veena player,
vocalist and a recording artist, has won several accolades for her chaste and pure rendition of classical music. Strong
music fundamentals have helped her successfully imbibe different styles into her ever growing music vocabulary.
The Vishwini couple together has worked to introduce the new age Kannada fusion music "Kan-fusion" blending the western
music into the traditional kannada poetry and folk to bring out their first music album "Ghama Ghama" in 2004. "Resurgence"
is their multi lingual album, re-visits the roots of devotional music with a modern day outlook. Their extraordinary
performances from Kan-fusion and De-fusion have been well received by the wide spectrum of audience at several places in
different part of USA and India. Both have served as Cultural Secretaries of the "Taranga Kannada Sangha of Memphis", USA
between 2001-06 are now in Bangalore, India for their next phase of life.
Vishwesh currently works as a Project Manager in the leading Software Company of India, while Ashwini is currently pursing
her Masters in Electronics engineering.
